Submission guidelines
'Studies on Art and Architecture' welcomes submissions of scholarly
papers, reviews of books and events, and contributions to the Discussion section.
Suggestions for editing topical special issues can be sent to the Editorial Board.
Articles should run approximately twenty-two pages (about 40,000 characters),
with a summary of an additional four to six pages (7,20010,800 characters).
The summary can be submitted in Estonian, English or German.
The journal is peer-reviewed and articles considered for publication are
considered by the Editorial Board and then submitted to two anonymous peer
reviewers. Articles must receive positive reviews from both readers in order to
be published.

Illustrations (up to ten) should be supplied as high-quality digital files or
high-quality original photos and slides. The text should include references to
illustrations, a full list of captions with relevant data (e.g. information
required for reproduction permission to be granted; in the case of a reproduction,
the location of the original, author of the photo, year etc.) must be provided
separately at the end of the article.
The references should be formatted in a footnote system, following the tradition
of 'Studies on Art and Architecture'. In the text, a person's full
name should be given on first appearance. Quotations, book and journal titles
are to be in normal lettering and in double quotes; phrases and citations in foreign
languages should be in italics. Emphases in the text should be marked with underlining.
